[09-12-'21] Presented my latest work on Equivariant SVGD and EBMs during the NeurIPS poster sessions. More information on the work can be found here.
[04-10-'21] I just started my visit at OATML with prof. Yarin Gal at the University of Oxford. I'm very excited about this!
[28-09-'21] ACCEPTANCE: My work with @PriyankJaini and @wellingmax was accepted for publication at the NeurIPS conference! Looking forward to presenting the work online later this year.
[04-07-'21] In personal news, I finished my first trail marathon. 43.1 km of beautiful hilly nature in the Dutch Veluwezoom!
[16-06-'21] My first work as a student in the @ELLISforEurope-Amsterdam program with the ML superstars @PriyankJaini and @wellingmax is now available here. The work studies how we can use symmetries when training EBMs.
[01-04-'21] ACCEPTANCE: The ReScience journal accepted the reproduction report I co-authored with 3 other UvA master student for publication.
[23-01-'21] Together with some other students from my program I started an reading group on AI a while back. We have a website now with a collection of our past papers and their corresponding presentations. The webpage theme might be a bit familiar.
2020
[07-12-'20] The next 6 days I will be attending the virtual NeurIPS conference.
[13-11-'20] I will be joining the ELLIS-Amsterdam honours programme under the supervision of prof. Max Welling and prof. Yarin Gal. ELLIS is a truly transformative platform designed to keep Europe at the forefront of AI and ML research. I am excited to be a part of this.
[10-11-'20] My latest paper on fast adversarial robustness certification is now available in the NeurIPS2020 pre-proceedings.
[26-10-'20] ACCEPTANCE: The paper I wrote together with Sascha Saralajew and prof. Thomas Villmann is accepted to the 2020 NeurIPS conference!
[01-09-'20] I've decided to continue my education at the University of Amsterdam. The coming 2 years I will be following the masters program in Artificial Intelligence.
[30-07-'20] I presented the paper Explaining black-box neural ranking models using sentenceimpact analysis during the SIGIR20 EARS workshop.
[29-06-'20] The coming 2 weeks I will be attending the Machine Learning Summer School organized by ELLIS and the Max Planck Institute
[18-06-'20] ACCEPTANCE: The short paper I wrote together with Maurice Verbrugge, Emma Gerritse and Arjen de Vries is accepted to the 2020 SIGIR workshop on ExplainAble Recommendation and Search.
[15-06-'20] I presented the paper Exploring Latent Class Structures in Classification-By-Components Networks during the CVPR2020 CICV workshop.
[14-06'-'20] From the 14-06 till 19-06 I will be attending the virtual CVPR conference.
[29-04-'20] ACCEPTANCE: My short followup paper on our NeurIPS2019 paper is accepted to the CVPR workshop on Compositionality in Computer Vision.
[29-04-'20] I have been accepted to attend the Machine Learning Summer School at the end of June. I'm very much looking forward to meeting all the other attendees.
2019
[08-12-'19] The coming days I will be attending the NeurIPS conference in Vancouver. A huge thanks to the organizers for the generous travel grant. During the conference I will be presenting the paper Classification-by-Components: Probabilistic Modeling of Reasoning over a Set of Components.
[11-09-'19] The next three days I will be attending the Mittweida Workshop for Computational Intelligence (MiWoCI) and presenting some of my recent work. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
[10-09-'19] ACCEPTANCE: The paper I wrote with Sascha Saralajew, Maike Rees, Ebubekir Asan, and Thomas Villmann is accepted to the 2019 NeurIPS conference!
[01-09-'19] Today I start my master in Computer Science at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Update: I've left the Radboud University at the end of my first year to continue my education at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
[01-08-'19] After an amazing year working as a research student at Porsche, I've decided to move back to the Netherlands and continue my education full time. A huge thanks to all my colleagues and new friends that made the past years as amazing as it has been.
[27-06-'19] The next few days I will be attending the Workshop on Self Organizing Maps in Barcelona. During this time my work on the adversarial robustness of learning vector quantization will be presented.
[29-03-'19] Today I will be giving a presentation at the International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Computational Intelligence at the University of Groningen. Great to be back!

[01-02-'19] I've extended my time at the Porsche Innovation Campus for atleast another half a year. During this time I will also be attending classes at the University of Tubingen.
2018
[08-12-'18] I had a great time presenting my work on Prototype-based Neural Network layers during the adversarial vision challenge workshop at the NeurIPS2018 conference. A huge thanks to Sascha Saralajew, Maikes Rees and Thomas Villmann for making this possible.

[02-12-'18] From the 2nd till the 9th of December I will be attending the 2018 NeurIPS conference.
[08-09-'18] I officially received my bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University in Groningen.
[01-08-'18] For the next 6 months I will be interning at the Porsche Innovation Campus in Weissach, Germany.
[23-07-'18] With my bachelor thesis graded with a 9.0 out of 10, I meet all the requirements for my bachelors degree in Computer Science. A huge thanks to my supervisor prof. Michael Biehl.
